Members of the Rhode Island State Police, FBI (Providence, R.I.), and United States Attorney General's Office (District of Rhode Island), are attempting to locate the below suspect following a federal indictment charging the suspect with multiple counts of Conspiracy and Interstate Transportation of Stolen Property.

IDENTIFIED:

JOSE MONTES (36) also known as "TUTO" and "JOSE RIVERA", with a last address in Providence.

Montes is described as a Hispanic male, 5'10" tall, 240 lbs., stocky build with brown hair and eyes.

Montes is alleged to be the leader and organizer of a number of individuals involved in the larceny and transportation of property including personal water craft, boats, off-road recreational vehicles and construction equipment throughout New England.

CAPTURED:

The United State Attorney's Office in Providence has reported that the suspect in this case has been captured by the United States Marshals Service in Florida.
