The Johnston Police Department is attempting to identify a suspect involved in the theft of a motor vehicle that occurred at Gold Star Auto, 577 Killingly St., Johnston, R.I.

On Sunday, 10/14/18, at approximatley 6:30 PM, a white male suspect who was wearing a brown hooded sweatshirt, dark colored pants, entered an unsecured 2013 Ford cargo van color van. The suspect was observed on video for several minutes tampering with the ignition where he got it running and fled the scene.

Security video revealed that a black two door Toyota Solora assisted or dropped the suspect off.
