The Smithfield Police Department is attempting to identify a male suspect who robbed the Bank RI, 445 Putnam Pike, (Apple Valley Mall), Smithfield, RI.

On Monday, 2/29/16 at 2:00 PM, a male suspect entered the bank and passed a note to the teller demanding cash. No weapon was shown. After the suspect obtained and undetermined amount of cash, the suspect fled on foot towards the parking lot, but no vehicle description is available.

The suspect is described as a white male, mid twenties, about 5'5" with a very thin build, blue eyes and dark hair, scruffy beard. The suspect was wearing a red wig tied back in a pony tail, a black shirt and pants and at least one black glove.

The Smithfield Police Department report that the suspect in this case was captured in the City of Warwick on 3/1/16. He is identified as:
