The Coventry Police Department is attempting to identify two suspects involved in a fraud that took place the Home Depot on Centre of New England Blvd. in Coventry.

On 8-19-2000 a fraudulent credit card purchase was made for $5,766.29. The suspects bought shingles and roofing materials but did not physically have the card.

The shingles bought were Timberline Natural Shadow Pewter Gray Lifetime Architectural Shingles (72 bundles at 33.3 sq. ft. per bundle) and Timberline HDZ Weathered Wood Algae Resistant Laminated High Definition Shingles (36 bundles at 33.33 sq. ft. per Bundle). Thy also purchased roofing nails, screws, and assorted other items.

The suspects are seen on video loading the materials on to a U-Haul truck. Unable to see license plate. The name used on the pick up order was the victim’s.  A Text Now phone number was used to place the order, 401-336-5243 but a warrant revealed negative results.
