The Warwick Police Department is attempting to identify a female suspect involved in an identity theft and fraudulent use of credit cards that occurred at Macy's and Dick's Sporting Goods in Warwick.

On Friday, 8/28/20, a heavy set female suspect attempted to open a Macy's charge card in the name of a female victim. The application was denied. It is believed the same suspect then went to Dick's Sporting Goods where she was successful in opening a store charge card and fraudulently purchased approximately $900.00 in merchandise.

This same suspect is also believed to have hit two additional Dick's Sporting Goods stores in MA for a and fraudulently charged $2400.00 in assorted merchandise.
