The Cranston Police Department is attempting to identify a male suspect who stole a large amount of clothing from a retail apparel store located at the Garden City Shopping Center, 114 Hillside Rd., Cranston, R.I.

On Monday, 1/31/19, just after 6 PM, a white male suspect entered the store wearing a black knit hat, black coat, plaid scarf, dark pants and sneakers. The suspect grabbed 27 items from a display table and ran out the door without making any attempt to pay for the merchandise.

The suspect was in the store for approximately 10-15 seconds. The total loss to the store was just under $3000.00

The same suspect committed a similar theft at the same location 5 days earlier on Saturday, 1/26/19. During that theft, the suspect made off with 18 sweaters valued just under $900.00

This suspect resembles the description of other similar incidents in the area.
