The North Attleboro Police Department is attempting to identify a suspect involved in an armed robbery at the Speedway gas/convenience store in North Attleboro, MA.
On Sunday, 11/25/18, at approximately 2:02 AM, a male suspect entered Speedway, walked towards the clerk and pulls up his hoodie sweatshirt exposing his waist area. The clerk observes clerk a silver handgun with a black handle grip tucked into his waistband.
The suspect then asked for money and first empties the money from a donation jar. The suspect then grabs and undetermined amount of larger denomination bills from the register drawer but leaves the one dollar bills behind. The male suspect then fled on foot towards Fisher Street.
The suspect is described as an african american male, in his 40's, about 5'7" tall, average build, with dark moustache, lighter grayish facial hair on chin area. He was last seen wearing a dark gray hoodie sweatshirt with the hood pulled tight around face. The hoodie sweatshirt had long white strings. The male also wore a black jacket-style vest worn over hoodie sweatshirt.
Presently, it is not known if he had an accomplice or if a vehicle was used.

The North Attleboro Police Department have report that the suspect in this case was captured on 3/25/19. He is identified as: DERRICK CHATMAN (53) from North Attleboro, MA.
