The Rhode Island State Police is attempting to locate an identified sex offender.

CHHOY HAK (71) is a convicted sex offender who has a duty to register under RI General Laws. HAK has failed to register as a sex offender. On 5/25/18, HAK was released from prison after serving 25 years in prison for four counts of first degree child molestation and two counts of second degree child molestation. HAK was released with a GPS ankle bracelet. On May 26, 2018, HAK'S GPS ankle bracket stopped transmitting locations.

An arrest warrant was signed on 5/30/18. HAK'S last known location was in the Cranston Street area of Providence.

The Rhode Island State Police reported that the suspect, HAK, has been arrested.
