The Smithfield Police Department is attempting to a male shoplifting suspect involved in a large theft of merchandise at KOHL’s Department Store located at 371 Putnam Pike, Smithfield, RI.

On Tuesday, 2/2/2016, at approximately 8:11 PM, a fairly heavy set male wearing a black jacket and hood with short hair and balding, stole three (3) Philips Sonicare electric toothbrushes valued as $609.87.

The suspect then get into a maroon four (4) door sedan (possibly New York Registration) and flee the area. There appeared to be damage to the front driver’s side door. The vehicle was being operated by a female, and there was another female sitting in the back seat.

The suspect are most likely responsible for other similar thefts in other jurisdictions.
