The Smithfield Police Department is attempting to identify two suspects involved in the theft in Smithfield and fraudulent use of a stolen credit/debit card that occurred in Cranston.

On Tuesday, April 19, 2016, the victim reported that her Pawtucket Credit Union debit card was stolen at her place of employment and then used at Walmart, 1776 Plainfield Pike, Cranston.  The victim is employed at the Paper Store located at 371 Putnam Pike (Smithfield Crossings) and believes the debit card was stolen from her purse while she was working.

The suspects made a gift card purchase for $500.00, however when they tried to use the stolen debit card two other times at Walmart, it was denied. This occurred at 6:41pm, 6:51pm and 6:53pm.

The male suspect appears to be a tall heavy set black male.  The other suspect appears to be a tall thin black female.
