The Middletown Police Department is attempt to identify a male suspect involved in the theft of a large amount of cash from the Mobile Mart, 356 West Main Rd, Middletown, RI.

On Thursday, 6/16/2016, at approximately 10:25 pm, a male suspect entered the Mobile Mart and distracted the clerk. While the clerk was distracted, the suspect stole approximately $800.00 in cash from behind the counter.

The suspect fled the store on foot and was last seen running on Smythe St.

The Middletown Police Department report the capture of the suspect in this case. He was apprehended on July 1, 2016 by the Newport Police Department. He is identified as:

EDWARD R. JONES (44) from Westminster St in Providence, R.I. He is currently at the ACI.
