The Rhode Island State Police are attempting to identity a male suspect involved in an identity theft and numerous fraudulent debit/credit card transactions that occurred at multiple locations in Rhode Island and Massachusetts.

Sometime around 7/1/2016, the victim's debit card was compromised and their personal identifying information was allegedly placed on a cloned credit card by an unknown suspect.

Cloning a credit/debit card is a technique where the suspect obtained the victim's credit/debit card information and then copied them onto a counterfeit credit card.

Numerous fraudulent transactions were made at Walmart in Seekonk, MA along with ATM withdrawals at Bank of America in Central Falls and Pawtucket, RI.
