The East Providence Police Department is attempting to identify a female suspect who committed a larceny that took place inside the Burlington Coat Factory, 60 Newport Ave. (Narragansett Park Plaza), East Providence, RI.

On Thursday, 9/8/2016, a female victim was shopping inside the Burlington Coat Factory and went over to the clearance table at the front of the store and looked at some items. When the victim left the table, she accidentally left her pocketbook on the table.

After a couple of minutes she realized she did not have her pocketbook and went back to the table. The pocketbook was still there but her money, $320.00 cash, and cellphone were stolen.

Surveillance video showed the suspect at the clearance table removing items from the victim's pocketbook. The suspect is then observed walking to another area of the store where the cellphone was later located.

The female is described as a white female with dark hair, wearing a yellow tank top and jean shorts.  The suspect then left the store and left in a VW Beetle convertible.
