The Warwick Police Department is attempting to identify a male suspect who stole a diamond ring from Jared the Galleria of Jewelry, 205 Lambert Lind Highway, Warwick, RI.

On Thursday, 9/8/2016, at approximatley 6:24 PM, the male suspect entered the store and began looking at numerous engagement rings with a sales employee.  After approximately forty five minutes in the store, suspect distracts salesman and runs out of store, while in possession of a 2 ct. round diamond stone, with a store value of $21,000.

The suspect is described as a white male, mid thirties, aproximately 5'11' tall, slim build, with scars and scabs on his nose.  It is unknown at this time if the suspect left in a vehicle.

IDENTIFED:

The Warwick Police have identified the suspect in this case.  He is identified as:

PETER RIVERA (26) with no last known address.

CAPTURED:

The Warwick Police Department report the arrest of PETER RIVERA.  He was taken into custody on 10/4/16 and charged with one count of felony larceny over $1500.
