CONSIDERED ARMED & DANGEROUS - HOMICIDE SUSPECT

On 12/10/2016 at about 11:45 PM, a male victim was stabbed multiple times near the intersection of Lyon Ave. and Warren Ave. The victim had been on life support until Thursday, 12/15/16, when he succumbed to his wounds.

IDENTIFIED:

The suspect has been identified as

JAMES STEVENS (29) with last known addresses in Providence, Cranston, and Foster.

Stevens is described as being 5'10", 190 lbs., black hair and brown eyes.

Stevens had been driving a white 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee with RI registration JH-259. This vehicle was recovered in Johnston, RI.

CAPTURED:

12/27/2016: The East Providence Police Department report the arrest of JAMES STEVENS.

JAMES was captured by the United States Marshals Task Force in El Paso, Texas and will eventually be brought back to Rhode Island on a charge of murder.
