The East Providence Police Department is attempting to identify a female suspect who passed several counterfeit bills at the Rite Aid, 655 Warren Ave., East Providence, RI.

The female suspect, carrying a large handbag and wearing a baseball hat, approachd the clerk at the counter and tried to purchase a $140 Visa Gift Card with four (4) $20 counterfeit bills and $65 in legitimate cash. Once the clerk questioned it, the female suspect fled the store and left the money behind. No vehicle is known at this time.
