The Westerly Police Department is attempting to identify a female suspect who placed a skimming device and micro camera on an interior ATM at the Cumberland Farms Store, 149 Granite St, Westerly, RI.

On Thursday, 4/27/2017, between 7:30 and 10 AM, a white female suspect, possibly of eastern European descent, placed a micro camera over the keypad and a skimming device over the ATM card reader.

This has been a common occurrence in our area in the past several months, most of which have occurred to similar Citizens Bank freestanding ATM's inside Cumberland Farms stores.

In some of the incidents, instead of a micro camera, they have placed a fraudulent remote keypad over the ATM keys.  These devices are disguised to look like official parts of the ATM and are difficult to detect.
