The Cranston Police Department is attempting to identify a suspect involved in an armed assault at Roman Jewelers, 1000 Reservoir Ave., Cranston, RI.

On Monday, 5/1/2017, at approximately 4:30 PM, a black male suspect entered the store carrying a "Price Rite" shopping bag and asked the clerk to purchase items. The suspect then pulled a black and gray handgun. The clerk then told the suspect to leave and the clerk hid. The suspect then fled on foot in a northerly direction on Reservoir Ave.

The suspect is described as a light skinned black male in mid 20's with thin build, 5'7" to 5'8" tall.
