The Woonsocket Police Department is attempting to identify a male suspect who committed an identity theft and fraudulently purchased two iPhones at the T Mobile store located at 1500 Diamond Hill Rd, Woonsocket, RI.

On Wednesday, 6/28/17 2017, at about 6 PM, a male suspect entered the T Mobile store and purchased two Iphone 7 Plus valued at $1800.00.  The suspect presented a RI License and account information idenitfying himself as Michael Kane.  He completed the purchase under a false name and the amount was charged to the victim's account.

The salesperson said the license photo matched the subject she assisted which was not Kane. The information on the license matched Kane's home address but not his actual birthdate, however, the license number was fictitious.

The suspect is described as a light skinned african american or hispanic male.

CAPTURED:

With assistanc e from  Mansfield Police Department,  the suspect was identified as LUIS FUENTES.

An arrest warrant was obtained for FUENTES that includes charges of ID Theft and Wrongfully obtaining phone service. FUENTES was located by the Providence Police Department on Friday,  3/16/18, and transferred to the Woonsocket Police Department.
