The Smithfield Police Department is attempting to identify a male suspect involved in the theft of a pocketbook at Fast Freddie's Exxon, 471 Putnam Pike, Smithfield, RI.

The male suspect pulled into the parking lot in a red Jeep. A white male with jeans, a dark shirt, and a goatee/beard exits the vehicle and notices a pocketbook on the front seat of the vehicle next to him.

He reaches into the victim's vehicle, grabs the pocketbook, and throws it back into his vehicle and leaves the lot. Several credit cards and approximately $1100 of cash and other items were taken.
