The Middletown Police Department is attempting to identify a female suspect involved in a shoplifting incident that took place at the Walgreens, 12 East Main Road, Middletown, R.I. This female has been involved in shopliftings in numerous jurisdictions in our area.

On December 22nd, 2017 at 7:45 PM, a female suspect with brown hair approx. 40 years old, approached the clerk at Walgreens asked for a carton of Newport Cigarettes. The clerk placed the individual packs of cigarettes into a brown paper bag and placed them on the counter. The female suspect quickly swiped her debit/credit card and grabbed the brown paper bag with the cigarettes. When the clerk told the female that she swiped her card too soon, the female suspect fled the store.
