The Providence Police Department is attempting to identify a male suspect who committed robbery at the Super Star Mini Market, 163 Broadway, Providence, R.I.
On Tuesday 1/9/2018, at approximately 6:00 PM, a male suspect approached the front counter to purchase a pack of cigarettes. After the transaction, the subject attempted to convince the clerk to give him another package of cigarettes for free. The clerk told the suspect that he was not going to give him a package of cigarettes. At that point, the suspect became angry and started yelling.
When the clerk told the suspect he was going to call the police, the susupect then jumped on the counter and told the clerk to put his phone down and give him the cigarettes or he beat him up. The clerk then ran into the back of the store as the suspect ran around the counter and stole an unknown amount of cigarette packs. The subject then fled on foot from the store.
The suspect was a white male, with brown hair in a “man-bun”. He was wearing a black t-shirt with “AERO NY” in white writing, blue jeans and boots. The suspect had a full sleeve of tattoos on his left arm, and another tattoo on his right forearm.
