The Smithfield Police Department is attempting to locate who is a registered sex offender who failed to notify his a change of address.
IDENTIFIED:
STEVEN VIGEANT (31) with previous addresses in Smithfield, Johnston, and Providence.
He is described as being 5'5" tall, 170 lbs., black hair and brown eyes
His whereabouts is currently unknown and the Smithfield Police Department has a signed warrant for sex offender address change-failure to notify police.
The Cranston Police Department also has two active warrants for VIGEANT for a domestic failure to relinquish a telephone and fraud.
He also has a full Superior Court bench warrant for a technical violation.

On 5/10/21, the Smithfield Police Department reported that VIGEANT turned himself in.
