May 24, 2013 - East Greenwich : Coastway Community Bank 5750 Post Road
The East Greenwich Police Department is attempting to identify an unknown suspect who committed a Bank Robbery at Coastway Community Bank. The suspect handed the teller a note, which threatened use of a weapon, and demanded money. The suspect then left the bank with an undetermined amount of cash and ran north on Post Road towards Clemente Drive.
The suspect was described as a white male, approximately 30 years of age, 5’6” tall with a thin build and having a light colored goatee. He was wearing a white long sleeved thermal style shirt, light colored blue jeans, white sneakers, a black Nike baseball cap with the logo on the front, and sunglasses. He was carrying a messenger style bag over his left shoulder.
