December 22, 2009 - Pawtucket : Funeral Home
The Pawtucket Police Department is attempting to locate a suspect involved in a fraud that occurred at a local funeral home in the city of Pawtucket, RI. This suspect is currently being sought for Obtaining Money Under False Pretenses and has allegedly committed similar crimes in the past.
IDENTIFIED / WANTED
The suspect, identified as MARTIN "Marty" SZUCH (72) was hired by a local funeral home to install a new fire alarm system. The owner of the funeral home paid the suspect $27,500.00 in agreement with the contract they signed for the work to be completed. The suspect was self employed and the name of the company was "M & S Comm Fire Alarm Systems".
The suspect signed and cashed the checks, but never returned to begin the work. SZUCH is aware that he is wanted and has been able to elude police.
SZUCH has had previous addresses in North Providence, Providence, and Cranston. He is described as being 6 feet tall, 230 lbs., blue eyes, and sandy/gray hair.
