September 24, 2015 - Richmond : Citizens Bank inside Stop & Shop
The Richmond Police Department is attempting to identify a male suspect who robbed the Citizens Bank inside the Stop & Shop in Richmond, RI.
On Thursday, 9/24/15, at approximately 2:21 PM, a male suspect entered the Stop & Shop on Stilson Rd and walked around for 7 minutes before approaching the Citizens Bank counter. The male suspect then demanded 100's, 50's and 20's in envelopes and stated no dye packs. He told the teller he had a sick child.
The suspect appears to be a white male between 35-45 years old, 5'6" - 5'9" approximately 170-180lbs with a mustache and goatee. The suspect's vehicle is a silver colored Jeep Grand Cherokee with no front license plate.
On Tuesday, 9/29/15, at approximately 2:14 PM, the same suspect walked into the Savings Institute & Trust Bank, 2 Wilder Ave in Westerly. The suspect appears to be wearing the same clothing he wore in the Richmond bank robbery 5 days earlier.
The suspect was asked to remove his hat and sunglasses before approaching the teller. After removing his hat and sunglasses, he inquired about opening up an account. Approximately 30 seconds later, he left the bank and got into a gold Jeep Grand Cherokee and left the area.
The Richmond Police Department has identified the suspect in this case as:
RICHARD LOVE (31) from Groton, CT.
He may be operating a 2005 Chevy Silverado pickup truck bearing
CT Combination Registration 7335CU.
