The Barrington Police Department is attempting to identify and locate a suspect who committed a bank robbery Thursday, July 26th at approximately 3:35 PM at the Bank of America 257 County Rd. Barrington RI.
The suspect did NOT show a weapon and fled on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash.
The male suspect meets the physical description of an individual in at least 4 similar robberies in RI and southeastern MA. He is described as a white male in his 30’s, about 5’8” to 5’10” tall with a full beard wearing a blue knit cap and a brown long sleeve hooded sweat shirt.
The FBI and Law Enforcement agencies have captured and identified the "Bearded Bandit" as JUSTIN WORLEY (33). He was captured in a Seekonk Motel on 9/19/12. He is being charged with 9 robberies in RI and MA, including the latest robbery at the Pawtucket Savings in East Providence on 9/18/12.
