Case Details: Wanted by Cranston Police Department for Failure to Register as a Sex Offender: James. E. Giles, born in 1982, white male, 6'00" tall, 180-200 lbs., red or strawberry blondish hair, blue eyes.
Giles is a registered sex offender - last registered in Tennessee after he was convicted of 2 counts of statutory rape.
It was found that Giles had been staying at the Harrington Hall homeless shelter in Cranston periodically from October 2009 unti February 27, 2010. It recently came to light with the shelter management that Giles was not registered as a sex offender in Rhode Island. A warrant has been issued for his arrest.
Subject is also wanted out of Tennessee on a sex offender registration violation, however there is no extradition approved at this time for that offense.
At this time, he is believed to be staying in a trailer home in Attleboro, Massachusetts. It is unknown what his connections are to Rhode Island or nearby Massachusetts.
Giles has a criminal history record out of seven states which inclues charges of rape, domestic assaults, stolen vehicles, driving while intoxicated, thefts, etc.
CAPTURED: 03/18/2010 - Giles was arrested by Cranston Police, with assistance of Attleboro, Massachusetts Police.
