June 20, 2009 - New Bedford, MA : Convenience Store
CAUTION - Armed and Dangerous - Suspect wanted for Murder and Armed Robbery - Handgun Used - Suspect described as being a white or light skinned Hispanic male, approximately 6'00" tall, 150-160 lbs., with a pronounced nose and a thin mustache. Suspect was wearing jeans, sneakers, and a gray sweatshirt with a hood pulled around his head.
On June 20, 2009, at approximately 8:35 p.m., a man walked into the Petro Mart Gas and Convenience Store, 171 Coggeshall Street, New Bedford, MA, with intent to rob the store.
After walking around the store, the suspect approached the register, pulled out a black semi-automatic weapon from his waistband and announced a robbery.
When the clerk opened the register to comply with the demands, a person visiting the workers in the store, attempted to grab the weapon from the robber. The robber fired two shots, striking the customer, who later died.
